Dear Rotarians,

It was great to hear from Marisa Ogles last week from the Community Foundation. Her talked centered around giving, generosity and the power of generosity in our community. Additionally, she shared with us trends of giving and how one generation's expectations of their gifts differ from another. It was a very informative, educational and challenging talk to create in each of us a more giving, generous mindset.

Wednesday we have Aaron Swann from InfoSystems speaking on IT and identity protection. Everyone shares the need of knowing how to protect ourselves and our identities as we conduct our business or enjoy personal time on our devices, laptops and computers. I'm hoping to hear what to look for and how to defend ourselves from this all to common threat.

Club News:
I want to let you know that after conversations with the leadership of Grace Works Church, July 25 will be out last meeting hosted at the church. A significant reason is that the church doesn't have a full-time custodian and the sanctuary is set up for our Wednesday meeting on Sunday afternoon and not taken down again until Friday. This has put the church in a bind on several occasions by not being able to use the facility as they would like without considerable hardship. This, along with a couple other considerations have led us to part ways with this church that has graciously hosted and welcomed us for three years. We have a team looking for meeting sites and are confident we will find something accommodating for our group. If you have an idea of a meeting location, email me to let know and I'll pass the information along to our team. You can reach me at ptoddgaither@gmail.com.

See you Wednesday,
President Todd

The Rotary Club of Chattanooga Hamilton Place had as guests this week three European college students sponsored by the Georgia Rotary Student Program only offered in the state of Georgia and made possible by Georgia Rotary Clubs.  Visiting the club were David Probst from Germany and Jakob Fahl and Troels Ebbesen from Denmark!  The students are studying in Georgia and have been traveling to nearby states and were hosted in Chattanooga by local Rotarian Vicki Anderson.
