Dear Rotarian,

Last weekend was a good college football weekend if you cheer for the Vols, Mocs, Dawgs or the Tide - they were all big winners!

Last week our Membership Committee challenged us with the importance of growing our club through the recruitment of new members. I hope you will be able to use the names that you wrote down to invite some friends to join us in the coming months. I thought of several people that I think would be good Rotarians and plan to talk them soon. We will be revisiting the membership theme throughout the fall to keep it in mind. Thank you to Rick Carlson and Chris Neighbors for your encouragement, education and exhortation about membership!

This week we are scheduled to hear from Brian Elrod, the CEO of Text Request - a Chattanooga-based technology company that was recently ranked #335 on the Inc 5000 list of fastest growing private companies in America. They also received the Best Places to Work recognition in Times Free Press. It is always great to hear from local companies that are doing well.

I also want to remind you of our Purple Pinkie Donut fund raiser to End Polio Now! You can purchase your Purple Pinkie Donuts at our meeting Wednesday, then you can pick them up at Dunkin Donuts on October 20. One box of 10 Purple Pinkie Donuts purchased for $25 will generate $187.50 to go toward eradicating polio. This is a great opportunity to raise funds and you can share the donuts with your co-workers, golf sponsors, family and friends to tell them about Rotary's efforts to end polio.

The following is the Zoom meeting link. If you have difficulties in accessing the online meeting, please contact Dale Rardin at 423-605-6790 (cell) and he will assist you.
