Dear Rotarian,

This week will conclude another month of our Rotary year, and October has been a great month for our club!  Last week, Scott Buehrer spoke to us about the trade tariff war and his perspective from the front lines in the steel industry.  We also had a Polio Plus spotlight from club member Harry Fields in recognition of World Polio Day.  He shared with us the tremendous impact that Rotarians from our district have had in the global fight against polio.

On Thursday, October 24th, we celebrated World Polio Day with our Purple Pinkie Donut campaign!  Thank you to Rotarians who purchased donuts and made deliveries across our community!  Our club sold a staggering 213 boxes of donuts in less than 1 month.  That brought us to $38,340 raised for End Polio Now after the matching dollars were included.  INCREDIBLE!!  If you were able to take pictures of your donut deliveries, please send those to us.

We will be hearing from UTC Chancellor Dr. Steve Angle this week.  UTC is one of the partner schools for our scholarship students.  Please join us to hear an update on UTC's campus and the exciting things that are in the works for the students and faculty.

As always, thank you for what you are doing in our community!  Consider inviting a guest this week and we'll see you Wednesday!
