Dear Rotarian,

Good Morning! I've been celebrating for a few days since the VOLS won the SEC Basketball Championship!! I really enjoy watching this team (emphasis on team). Seems like every team member contributes to every win - much like a great Rotary Club. We are fortunate to have a great club made up of great club members and I appreciate all that you do each week.

Last week we had our international emphasis with Patty Wills speaking to us about the Foundation Quinta Carmelita which is an educational project to foster children's development in Mexico. In our January board meeting, our club voted to sponsor a child for a year in this program. The funds were transferred to the organization last week. Think about that for a minute - you are making a significant difference in the life of a child in Mexico through your participation in our Rotary Club!

Our primary fundraiser for scholarships and for all our community service is our Golf Tournament. Please remember to make your contacts for hole sponsorships soon! And don't forget to get your teams together for the tournament. After this weekend's snow I'm ready for some great golf weather.

This week we are scheduled to hear from Maury Nicely. Maury spoke to our club a couple years ago about the Jimmy Hoffa trial that took place in Chattanooga and it was very interesting. This week he plans to speak to us about Chattanooga's Historic Architecture.

I hope to see you Wednesday at our meeting, but if you need to join by Zoom here is the meeting link. If you have difficulties in accessing the online meeting, please contact Dale Rardin at 423-605-6790 (cell) and he will assist you.
