I hope everyone is having a good week! Tomorrow's speaker will be Past District Governor Frank Rothermel who will bringing us information about The Rotary Foundation. I hope to see everyone there.
Also the downtown club has invited everyone to a reception for our 2016-2017 Rotary International President Nominee John Germ on Thursday, November 13 at The TN Aquarium IMAX Theater from 5:30-7:30. There is no cost and it is good for a make-up!
Dear Rotary friends, just an update on past president Alan Johnston. I visited him this morning at the hospital and he is doing really well! He expects to go home tomorrow however he will obviously be limited on what he can do for a while. We as a club are looking to help out in any way we can (especially providing some food for the people that will be taking care of Alan's wife during this time).
We will announce on Wednesday at the meeting our plans to help out. Thanks, Stan
FOUNDATION, MEMBERSHIP, AND YOUTH SERVICE SEMINARS IT’S TIME TO PRE-REGISTER!

Who should attend? The Seminars are open to ANY ROTARIAN in District 6780 who would like to learn more about The Rotary Foundation, Membership, and/or Youth Service. And the Seminars are a great way for club presidents and committee chairs for Foundation, Membership, and Youth Service to find out more about these areas, crucial to the success of every Rotary club.
Why attend? The approach will be somewhat different this year than in the past. In addition to providing some crucial updates, the presenters will be asking YOU what it is that YOU need to know about The Rotary Foundation, Membership, and Youth Service and then answer your questions during the sessions.
This is your chance to learn more about what interests you as a Rotarian. And don’t forget an added benefit – you will have the opportunity to network with other Rotarians and make new connections!
