Dear Rotarian,

Hope you've had a good weekend and are ready to start the new week.

It was great to hear from Nancy Hoover of Bethel Bible Village last week. They have a great ministry for children in our community and I was glad to learn more about their school. They are truly making a difference in the lives of children and I am so glad that our club was able to help their ministry with the food drive in December.

This week we have two BIG events happening...

First - our Golf Kick-off meeting will take place during our regular meeting time. Tyler Spry and Jeff Otto will explain the plans for the next few months and present the challenge we have to prepare for our annual golf tournament. As you all know, this is our primary fundraiser for scholarships at UTC and Chatt State as well as all the charitable activities that our club sponsors throughout the year. It is important that we do our best to make this successful and it takes all of us.

Second - immediately after this week's meeting, we'll be sorting coats to be distributed to children at elementary schools in our community. This is one of the many initiatives that our golf tournament funds. This is such a great program and our club has been faithful in delivering "Warm Coats for Cool Kids" for many years. Let's keep it up.

It is great timing that we get to kick-off the golf tournament and participate in one of the activities funded by last year's tournament on the same day!

I look forward to seeing you Wednesday at our meeting, but if you need to join by Zoom here is the meeting link. If you have difficulties in accessing the online meeting, please contact Dale Rardin at 423-605-6790 (cell) and he will assist you.
