Hamilton Place Rotary members,
 
Thank you so much for the kind words after my first meeting last week. As I left with my wife, I breathed a sigh of relief and said, "At least I didn't destroy the club!" We laughed but I was very glad to have our first meeting in the books.
 
Last week I introduced our 2017-18 Board members and in a word, I am excited about the level of leadership we have represented on our Board. They will do a great job this year, especially with your help. We enjoyed a look back at the Rotary International Convention in Atlanta and had the privilege of acknowledging Alan Johnston as a Paul Harris Fellow +4. We also welcomed new member (old member) Craig Miller back to our membership - it's good to have you back, Craig!
 
Tomorrow, we welcome Steve McCloud from Trident Leadership as our guest speaker. Steve is an expert in high-performance teams and their leadership. He has devoted his career to delivering crucial lessons of performance and leadership from combat veterans to leaders and teams of all types. Trident Leadership destinations include Chickamauga, Normandy, Gettysburg and the Pacific. His clients include General Motors, US Marine Corps, TVA, Blue Cross Blue Shield and many more. Come expecting some interesting insights and perspectives on leadership and high-performance teams!
