President's Message

Dear Rotarian,

What a great turnout we had last week for our Club Assembly meeting! In the past, we have had low numbers. Thank you to Past President Beverlee Bartley for organizing and presenting this event. I saw several tables with multiple members signing up so that was a good sight to see.  There are still a few committees who don't have at least 2 members so don't be surprised if you hear from a committee chair.

I am aware that some of you "snuck" out the back door and as always there were some who weren't there. Don't worry, LOL!, someone will be contacting you to see what committee you would like to serve on.

There has been a change in this week's speaker and it will be Keith Hales who is CEO of Info Systems. It should be interesting. We will also have a member moment. This is when a new member or a long standing member will give a brief bio, 2-3 minutes, on their history and club participation.

As  a reminder, there is a new Sheriff in town who will be here sometime in August. Be prepared for questions like: are you wearing your Rotary pin, or are you wearing your Paul Harris pin, or has your picture been in the media? Everything Rotary is fair game.

Please stay cool and hydrated! See you Wednesday!  If you are not able to join in person please join us by Zoom.

Volunteering to be part of our weekly rotation of being a Greeter or leading our club in Prayer and Pledge is a privilege and a responsibility.  If you have a Greeter or Prayer & Pledge assignment and are unable to serve, you are responsible for finding your replacement and notifying Chris Neighbors or President Roseanne Apyan of the change.  Thank you for your club service.
