Dear Rotarian,

The calendar has flipped and June is here.  In a lot of ways it is hard to fathom that this is the last month of my term as Rotary President.  It has been both very enjoyable and challenging (but nothing like Tyler and Beverlee had to endure during COVID - my hat again goes off to them), and I thank you all for entrusting me with the Club for the last year.

One of the perks of the last year has been having Jim Henderson serve as my Vice President, and although we joke about the Vice President doing nothing, numerous times this year Jim has helped to fill the gap when we have struggled getting speaker.  He has two more really good ones lined up for us on the 5th and 12th of this month.  This Wednesday we will hear from Jason Heymann who is with the marketing department of CBL regarding current developments at Hamilton Place Mall.   Since we are the "Hamilton Place" Rotary Club, it is basically mandatory for all Club Members to be there this Wednesday.  On the 12th we will have Dutch Magrath with Amusement Products, which is the company that owns and operates a Chattanooga treasure - Sir Goony's.

As we wind down the Rotary year, please make sure that your dues are current. Also, during this last month of the fiscal year would be a great time to make a donation to the Rotary Foundation.

Finally, I know many folks will be travelling throughout the summer, but if you are in town, please make every effort to attend our weekly meeting at Metro Tab.  Please plan to join us this week.  If you are not able to join in person please join us by Zoom.

Meeting ID: 830 3025 5424.  Passcode: 685 432

Thanks for being a Rotarian!

Stan Hildebrand
2023-24 Club President
