President's Message

Dear Rotarian,

Last week's message fit perfectly into our January monthly theme and Rotary's overall focus of applying strong business ethics into everything we do. Rotarians should conduct ourselves personally and in our businesses by looking through the lens of the 4 Way Test.  Tim Kelly's message highlighted how he applied strong business ethics in his own local businesses which led to Kelly Subaru receiving the BBB Torch Award.

This week we start a new theme and February' theme is Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution and Harry Fields is our program chairman.  Jim Roxlo will address our club Wednesday on the topic of Peace.

Attached are letters from a few of our scholarship students and may be helpful as you reach out to sponsors for our May 19 golf tournament scholarship fundraiser.  Our non-traditional students continue to be extremely grateful for the opportunity to continue their education.  Joel Overton spoke to our club last week and expressed his thanks to our club for the opportunity to achieve his educational goals with the help of our scholarship.  These students are why we work hard to raise money during our golf tournament.

The following is the Zoom meeting link for our club meeting.  If you have difficulties in accessing the online meeting, please contact Dale Rardin at 423-605-6790 (cell) and he will assist you.  Please note that a passcode is now required to access the zoom meeting for security purposes.

Volunteering to be part of our weekly rotation of being a Greeter or leading our club in Prayer and Pledge is a privilege and a responsibility.  If you have a Greeter or Prayer & Pledge assignment and are unable to serve, you are responsible for finding your replacement and notifying Chris Neighbors or President Beverlee Bartley of the change.  Thank you for your club service.
