Dear Rotarian,

I hope that you are doing well on such a beautiful morning!  Last week we heard from Tennessee State Senator, Todd Gardenhire.  He shared a lot about the financial status of the state of Tennessee, as well as information about the road work that is being done at the
I-75/I-24 split, all the way to the I-24/27 split and everything in between.  Much of that roadwork will be done in phases, and the total time expected for all of the road and bridge work is 10 years.  He explained that 70% of the traffic that goes from east to west in the U.S. goes through Chattanooga.  This will be the most expensive infrastructure project in our state's history.

Tomorrow, we will be hearing from Coach Tony Ingle.  Coach Ingle was born and raised in Dalton, GA, and went on to coach basketball at the collegiate level.  In 2004, his team at Kennesaw State won the NCAA Division II Tournament Championship, and in 2015, his Dalton State team won the NAIA Men's Division I Basketball Championship!  In addition, he was also a 4-time National Coach of the Year!  In July of 2018, Coach Ingle retired from coaching basketball.  Ingle says retirement will allow him more time to devote to his church, public speaking, and to his family which includes wife, Jeanne, four sons, one daughter, and 10 grandchildren.

You don't want to miss Coach Ingle tomorrow.  He is a tremendous speaker, and I look forward to seeing you all at Rotary!
