Monday was Labor Day and many were enjoying a day off. It is important to remember what the day stands for. A day to celebrate the men and women who are the backbone of this country, the workers. Not the politicians or the oligarchs but those who actually do the work, the hard-working people that drive our economy.

Last week It was interesting to hear from Ryan Byford sharing about what is currently happening at the Collegedale Airport and the vision for the future. One of the things he shared was the financial impact of the airport to the Apison/Collegedale community.

This coming week we have Michelle Goble from Welcome Home of Chattanooga telling the story of their mission and focus. We are looking forward to partnering with them in a service project in October.

Over the next few days your membership committee is working on ways to make it easier for you to invite prospective members to our club. Hopefully by next week we will roll that out to all of you!

Some of you have sent in testimonials of why you joined Rotary and I appreciate those that did, BUT it would be nice to have a few more.  Have a great week and Be Proud to Be A Rotarian!!  If you can't join us in person, please join us by Zoom at the link below:
