Dear Rotarian,

What an amazing program last week with Katie Johnston that links directly to Rotary's newest area of focus, Supporting the Environment.  We should all strive to be good stewards of our land and resources to ensure sustainability without damaging the environment.

This week's program is our special salute to honor our veterans through our Veteran's Day Program.  If you plan to invite guests, please let me know so we can ensure we have an accurate food count.

Our next service opportunity is the Community Kitchen Food Drive scheduled for Thursday, November 19th.  Stan Hildebrand is asking that we collect food items over the next two weeks, and he will take them on that Thursday.  Items needed include #10 cans of mixed fruits and mixed vegetables, large cans of soup, sugar, flour, and dry milk.  Frozen ham and turkey can be taken to the field on the day of the drive.  Also needed are packages of bottled water, fruit snacks, pop-top cans of soup and pastas, and granola bars.

The Community Kitchen is asking for up to 5 volunteers on the 6 am to 9 am shift at AT&T field on November 19.  If you are available to serve, please let Stan know.

The following is the Zoom meeting link for our club meeting. If you have difficulties in accessing the online meeting, please contact Dale Rardin at 423-605-6790 (cell) and he will assist you.  Please note that a passcode is now required to access the zoom meeting for security purposes.

Volunteering to be part of our weekly rotation of being a Greeter or leading our club in Prayer and Pledge is a privilege and a responsibility.  If you have a Greeter or Prayer & Pledge assignment and are unable to serve, you are responsible for finding your replacement and notifying Chris Neighbors or President Beverlee Bartley of the change.  Thank you for your club service.
