Rotary Hamilton Place Bulletin - November 6th, 2019 (Nov 06, 2019)

Dear Rotarian,

I hope you had a wonderful Halloween! Although it was a bit cool and rainy last week, we had great attendance to hear from UTC's Chancellor, Dr. Steve Angle. In addition to the campus improvements, there are some exciting student programs and community partnerships that continue to enhance the student experience at UTC. Dr. Angle thanked our club for the continued support from our scholarship program and our members' advocacy for the university.

In addition to a great program, we were also able to welcome two new members to our club - Barbara Edwards and Matthew Nuar! You can see the excitement from these two members, and I think you will quickly find them to be excellent additions to our club. Please take a moment to introduce yourself and help them get acquainted with Rotary. I have attached a picture from the induction ceremony.

This week will be our Veteran's Day Program. I hope that you will take this special opportunity to invite a Veteran as a guest. We will be able to express our appreciation for their service and hear an inspiring message from Major Kevin Beavers, who is a West Point graduate that served on multiple deployments and now leads UTC's ROTC program.

I look forward to seeing you Wednesday!

Tyler Spry
