President's Message

Dear Rotarian,

Chattanooga Police Chief David Roddy joined us for last week's program.  He shared a great message about the work our of police department to improve care and outreach to crime victims.  He mentioned how the focus had previously been on solving the crime and finding the criminal, but the past few years there has been a new focus on showing a high level of care for the victims.  He shared several success stories on how this has created a positive change in our community.

Due to the coronavirus concerns, our meetings for the next two weeks have been cancelled.  Next week's Influential Educator Awards will be rescheduled to another date, so I will update you as soon as we have those details.

Rotarians, use the next couple of weeks to practice the recommended "social distancing".  Also, keep an eye out for any needs of your friends, neighbors, or fellow Rotarians.  If there is a way our club can serve them, please let me know.  Stay safe and healthy so we can do our part to help flatten the curve of impact that this virus has in our city.

Volunteering to be part of our weekly rotation of being a Greeter or leading our club in Prayer and Pledge is a privilege and a responsibility.  If you have a Greeter or Prayer & Pledge assignment and are unable to serve, you are responsible for finding your replacement and notifying Craig Miller or President Tyler of the change.  Thank you for your club service.
