Dear Rotarian,
 
We are only one week away from our next meeting!  I am pleased to report that everything is in motion for us to be back together at Metro Tab next Wednesday, June 10th for our Influential Educator Awards program.  Special thanks to Brigette Thurman and Stephen Pike for working to arrange this for us.  Our catering staff is back in operation and closely following all guidelines issued by the health department.  They will be providing a box lunch for us, and it was requested that you bring your own drink if you prefer something other than water.  I will provide additional details on special arrangements and safety precautions in next week's email, so please stay tuned.  
 
As a reminder, please submit payment for the invoiced dues at your convenience so our club can be preparing to close the books for the Rotary year.  Checks can be mailed to the PO Box on the statement.  A large portion of our dues is allocated to cover our weekly meals.  With our meetings cancelled over the past several weeks, those funds have been redirected to support many initiatives.  Some of those are included below:
  • continue to support our catering staff (net of food costs)
  • Metro Tab Church food drive
  • Tornado relief efforts
  • Food & Hunger - Community Kitchen, Chattanooga Food Bank
  • ShelterBox disaster relief materials
  • PolioPlus
I hope everyone continues to stay safe and healthy.  I look forward to being together soon and having a strong finish to the remainder of the Rotary year.  Have a great week!
