Dear Rotarians,

Last week we celebrated our teachers! It was a great program to hear from these inspiring teachers and the students that so eloquently sponsored and introduced them. It's days like last Wednesday that renews our hope that there are wonderfully gifted and passionate teachers whose calling it is to instruct and guide the children today. I'm sure I would have enjoyed having each of the teachers that won our distinguished Influential Educators Award. A big thank you to Stephen Pike and Brigette Thurman for their work in putting our program together. It is always so well done!

Tomorrow we have the privilege of having Brigham Young's women basketball coach speak to our club. Coach Jeff Judkins will be our guest and I'm hoping he's going to be talking basketball! The Cougars finished 16-14 last year and 11 -7 in West Coast Conference play. Maybe we can also talk about the NBA playoffs!

See you tomorrow!

President Todd

Announcements:

Golf tourney is May 16 - are you ready? One of our goals is for each member to secure at least one hole sponsor. Would you do everything you can to either find a company to sponsor a hole or personally sponsor a hole yourself? This is our signature event so let's leverage what we can to make the most of it! Who knows, it might just be a simple phone call or a visit with an old friend. Whatever the method, lets fill up our power point graph and make Tyler happy!
The board voted unanimously last week to be the sponsoring club for the Positive Peace Workshop II Global Grant. We are excited about this opportunity and look forward to sharing with you more about what this will look like in the weeks to come.

Don't Miss This...

Dear Rotarians,

Just a reminder that we are still collecting toiletries. Anytime you stay at a hotel grab those little samples that you don't end up using and bring them to Rotary for us to share with Chattanooga's homeless shelter.

Stay tuned for up-coming service project activities. Look at Justin's emails related to our projects from April 5th and April 12th.

Thanks.

The Rotary Club of Chattanooga Hamilton Place recently honored a special group of teachers at our annual Influential Educator Awards event. Teachers from five (5) area schools were recognized and introduced by the students who nominated them. The schools and teachers honored were Boyd Buchanan School (Diane Hoilman), Collegedale Academy (Julie Foster), East Hamilton High School (Alex Ford), Ooltewah High School (Taylor Flynn), and Silverdale Baptist Academy (Ryan Thomason).
