Rotary Hamilton Place Bulletin - January 6th, 2021 (Jan 06, 2021)

Dear Rotarian,

Happy New Year! Our holidays looked very different this year with Zoom family calls; however, I am so very thankful for the technology that allows us to connect with family and friends. January is Vocational Services Month and Betsy and her committee have an excellent program line up for us including our club's newest event, Law Enforcement Recognition Day scheduled for January 20. Business Speed Networking is scheduled for January 13, and Tim Kelly is our featured speaker for January 27. Tim and Kelly Subaru received the 2020 BBB Torch Award for marketplace ethics. The Torch Award recognizes companies that demonstrate a commitment to conducting business in an ethical fashion. Kelly Subaru supported our golf tournament for several years.

This week is our annual Golf Tournament kick off meeting led by Tyler Spry and Jeff Otto. Tyler and Jeff have a new approach to our golf fundraising and this week will be a great kickoff not only for our golf tournament planning but for our club's Vocational Services Month.

Alan Johnston and his wife, Dowdy, continue to recover from COVID-19 so thank you for your prayers for their family. Alan shared that his family stood on their front porch and sang Christmas carols to them on Christmas day which meant so much to Alan and Dowdy. There may be others suffering so please let us know if there is anything you need and how we can pray for you.

Based on Governor Lee's Executive Orders and DG Ron's recommendations, our club will continue to meet virtually via Zoom through the month of January and will monitor closely to determine when it is safe to resume in-person meetings.

The following is the Zoom meeting link for our club meeting. If you have difficulties in accessing the online meeting, please contact Dale Rardin at 423-605-6790 (cell) and he will assist you. Please note that a passcode is now required to access the zoom meeting for security purposes.
