Hindsight
We have the opportunity throughout the year to hear new members’ bios, but they never have the opportunity to learn more about the existing membership.
If the laughter and decibel level of the conversations emanating from the tables were any indication, the “Speed Dating for Business” event was popular and a good use of our members’ time.
To recap, participants were randomly assigned a table to ensure each was filled to capacity and to break them out of their comfort zones of sitting at their regular tables.
Each person was given 4 minutes to tell about them-selves personally and professionally. I would call “time” and they would rotate to the next speaker.
Because it is important for us to continue to get to know each other in a meaningful way and share fellow-ship, we’ll be hosting a similar event in the spring.

Looking Ahead
President and General Manager of the Lookouts Base-ball team, Rich Mozingo, will be our featured speaker this week.
Rich began his career in January of ‘93 with the Texas Rangers organization in Port Charlotte, Florida before taking a job with the Lookouts that November as the Director of Group Sales. He spent the next nine years moving up through the ranks before becoming General Manager of the Lookouts in 1999. In 2002, he moved to Columbia, South Carolina to become the President and General Manager of the Capital City Bombers. After three years, he took the team and relocated the franchise to Greenville, South Carolina. In 2006, he moved to Lakewood, New Jersey to work with the Single-A Affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, the Lakewood BlueClaws.
In August of 2011, he was given the opportunity and accepted the position to return to Chattanooga as the President and General Manager of the Lookouts.
I hope to see you there!
