President's Message

Dear Rotarian,
What an inspirational message we heard last week from Brian Smith, Channel 9 Meteorologist and Polio Survivor.  Brian shared how early influences in his life shaped him, built up his confidence, and led him to help others and give back to organizations that helped him overcome his disability.  Service above Self - sounds familiar?

This week we host Darde Long (and friends) from the Chattanooga Zoo.  Darde is always full of energy and enthusiasm for the zoo animals, what is going on at the Chattanooga Zoo and our community.   Always a fun meeting when Darde attends.  Please remember to invite guests - either in person or they can join via our Zoom option.

Please remember the last date to preorder Dunkin Donuts for Purple Pinkie Day is Friday, October 16.  At this time, our club is in the top 3 in our District in preorder sales.  Paul Harris and Eradicator Club points will be awarded only to those who preorder.  Our club has led the state in sales over the past 2 years so let's strive to achieve that goal again this year!!!  THANK YOU to those who have already pre ordered.  We can give donuts as a thank you to our golf sponsors, folks you do business with, and perhaps your local schools and medical practices - CALL first to ensure they can accept food items.  You may make donations with no donut orders if you prefer.  Attached is the flyer with the preorder link.

Volunteering to be part of our weekly rotation of being a Greeter or leading our club in Prayer and Pledge is a privilege and a responsibility.  If you have a Greeter or Prayer & Pledge assignment and are unable to serve, you are responsible for finding your replacement and notifying Chris Neighbors or President Beverlee Bartley of the change.  Thank you for your club service.
