Dear Rotarian,

Hope your week is off to a good start.  The temperature feels like fall has arrived (maybe even winter for this Florida boy).  I enjoy the cool weather when the sun is shining as bright as it was today.

What a treat we had last week with Cliff Kent and the Sons of the American Revolution presenting our flags (in full revolutionary war uniforms!) and speaking about his personal history and that of other patriots in our area.  We have so much to be grateful for as we begin to think about the Thanksgiving holiday and our veterans should certainly be on our list of things about which we should be thankful!  Thank you to all who served in our country's military service and thank you to Charles Dammann and Brian Frye (aka Daniel Boone) for helping to make our Veteran's Day celebration a great one.

This month is Rotary Foundation Month and this week, we will learn more about the Rotary Foundation from Beth Stubbs.  Beth is a past District Governor and current Assistant Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator.  She definitely knows how the Rotary Foundation works!  She will share with us how the Rotary Foundation uses our gifts to improve life around the world and also how our club benefits from the gifts that we give to the Foundation.  It should be a great learning opportunity.

Don't forget about this Thursday morning's service opportunity.  Please make plans to meet at the Lookouts Baseball Stadium downtown at 6am.  Stan will share the final details at this week's meeting.

I look forward to seeing you Wednesday at our meeting, but if you need to join by Zoom here is the meeting link.  If you have difficulties in accessing the online meeting, please contact Dale Rardin at 423-605-6790 (cell) and he will assist you.

Also, we will have a board meeting this week following our regular meeting.  All are welcome to attend.
See you Wednesday,

Jim Glass

Volunteering to be part of our weekly rotation of being a Greeter or leading our club in Prayer and Pledge is a privilege and a responsibility.  If you have a Greeter or Prayer & Pledge assignment and are unable to serve, you are responsible for finding your replacement and notifying Chris Neighbors or President Jim Glass of the change.  Thank you for your club service.
