Dear Rotarians,

One thing I continue to think about after the last two opportunities we've had to host high school students is how impressive they have been! They have been incredibly articulate and their comments well thought out. It leaves me with great hope that the future is bright and exciting. The Silverdale Interact Club presented to us last week and it just continued the same sentiment in my soul! These students clearly have a passion for the mission and were truly excited about their project of providing clean water to those in need.

Tomorrow we are honored to have Dr. Steve Angle, Chancellor of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga speak to our club. I know there have been exciting things going on at UTC and as an alum, I'm anxious to hear from him. I saw in the news also that he was just appointed to the Erlanger Board of Trustees. He will serve on the Chattanooga Hamilton County Hospital Authority Board which governs Erlanger. Dr. Angle is a kind and gracious man and I am looking forward for you to meet him if you haven't already.

Sheriff Harold Peterson will also be at the podium tomorrow. Like I said a couple months ago, I've been lax in giving Sheriff Peterson opportunities to collect from the club so come with your dollar bills ready. He's not to be messed with when he's in a foul mood!

Announcements:

Hey! Have you heard that our golf tourney is May 16? FYI - that's next week! Get ready for a great day!
Vickie needs logos from hole sponsors if you haven't gotten them to her. Send them to vanderson@cbmtn.com
Surprise!! There will be a golf committee meeting tomorrow after the meeting to tie up any loose ends.
NO MEETING AT THE CHURCH NEXT WEDNESDAY. WE'LL BE ON THE GOLF COURSE!!

Don't Miss This...

In case you missed it, we are still collecting toiletries. Anytime you stay at a hotel grab those little samples that you don't end up using and bring them to Rotary for us to share with Chattanooga's homeless shelter.

The Golf Tournament will be here next week. Get out there and ask for hole sponsors, players, and other sponsorship levels. It's not too late to ask!
