Rotary Hamilton Place Bulletin - October 23rd, 2019 (Oct 22, 2019)

Dear Rotarian,

"DONUTS! GET YOUR DONUTS!"

Rotarians, today (Tuesday, Oct 22nd) is the last day for donuts orders! The response to our campaign has been astounding, and we currently have around 180 BOXES SOLD! That means our club has raised over $30,000 for End Polio Now! Our goal of 210 boxes is certainly within our grasp. Let's give one final push to round up the $600 of donut sales needed to achieve this incredible goal!

**If you need to place an order, reply to this email with # of boxes, pickup location, and pickup time. All orders not yet prepaid will need to be paid when picked up. For those who have prepaid, each location will have a list of pre-orders that have been prepaid by our club. You will just need to provide your name and Rotary club.**

Special thanks to Brigette Thurman and Madyson Foster for speaking to us last week about Junior Achievement. Many from our club have been involved in the work of this great organization, and we are excited to have an opportunity to serve in JA in a Day later this year. Please let us know if you are interested in participating and we will coordinate with JA to make arrangements.

This week's speaker, Scott Buehrer, is fellow Rotarian from Wabash, Indiana. Scott is the President of B. Walter & Co., a 132 year old manufacturing company that uses large amount of U.S. made steel. This high purchasing volume of steel puts him on the front lines of the evolving trade war. He has shared his experience with Rotary clubs across the nation, and we are thrilled to have him join us to share his program titled - "A Front Line Perspective on the Growing Trade Tariff War".

Final note... Warm Coats for Cool Kidz order has arrived! We need 6-8 volunteers for Tuesday, Oct 29th at noon to sort and deliver the coats. We will be meeting at Matt Hisey's office downtown (address below) for around 30 minutes. Please let me know if you're able to join.
