Dear Rotarian,

Last week was an exciting kickoff to the year!  I was able to introduce the new board and share our vision for the year.  Most importantly, everyone happily accepted the Hamilton Place Rotary "Challenge of One"!  ;)  This is our club's focus of the year to push towards RI President Mark Maloney's initiative to "Grow Rotary".

What is the "Challenge of One"?  This is our way to individually and collectively stay focused on membership growth!  For those who were unable to make it to the meeting, I have attached a slide with more details.  You will also find the tried-and-true open classification list attached.  Take a look and see if this helps you narrow your focus to a few people in your network that would make great Rotarians.

I am excited to welcome two individuals for this week's program.  Melvin Swafford is the Regional Director of Corporate Chaplains of America.  Melvin comes to us to share what they are experiencing as corporate chaplains in the workplace and how they build caring relationships with employees and serve during times of crisis and conflict.  My father, Jeff Spry, works will Melvin as a local chaplain and will be joining as a guest.  I hope that everyone has a chance to meet him!

Following our meeting this week we will have our first board meeting of the new year.  All Rotarians are welcome to join.

See you Wednesday!  And don't forget to give any guests or unfamiliar faces a warm welcome!

Volunteering to be part of our weekly rotation of being a Greeter or leading our club in Prayer and Pledge is a privilege and a responsibility.  If you have a Greeter or Prayer & Pledge assignment and are unable to serve, you are responsible for finding your replacement and notifying Craig Miller or President Tyler of the change.  Thank you for your club service.
