Last week we had a wonderful turnout of members and guests for our annual Influential Educators Day. Every year our Rotary Club is a proud sponsor of this event. Being able to recognize exceptional high school teachers that have been nominated by their senior class is an honor.

A heartfelt thank you to Stephen Pike for providing the unique experience of picking up the teachers and students from their schools in limos and gifting them flowers. A special thank you to Betsy Gibson for chairing this worthwhile event along with co-chair Steven. Thank you both for your stellar work!

Always interesting to hear what the young people share on why they chose a specific teacher. And then to listen to what the each teacher reveals about their personality in their acceptance speech.

A reminder the golf tournament is coming up quickly!!! Make sure to get those hole sponsors and teams signed up. We are well on our way but still have a distance to reach our goal for the tournament.

One of the best programs we do each year is a variation on speed dating. This coming Wednesday our own Jim Glass will be emceeing a Professional Speed Dating event. This is a perfect opportunity for you to sit with people you don’t normally and learn about each other
