Hello !,

I hope you all have had a great weekend! I wish the weather would make up its mind, preferably chilly. However, it beats the weather in Florida and North Carolina so I can't complain.

I hope you all enjoyed our speaker last week, State Senator Bop Watson. What a dynamic person and presenter!
In two weeks time we will have another public servant, District Attorney, Cody Wamp. You won't want to miss her presentation either.

We have a very busy week planned so hopefully we can get many Rotarians involved in our projects.

Our speaker is Josh Polgardi, an  entrepreneur who has launched Luff Sheets along with his wife.  Their mission is to transform the way you sleep while inviting you to help 1.5 million kids across the United States get a shot at the same thing. He was referred to me by a fellow Rotarian  in the South Pittsburg Club, so I look forward to hearing his   presentation.

Also this Wednesday, we have a board meeting right after the regular meeting. We have a lot on the agenda especially those items that will need decisions, so please come prepared with all your info so we can finish in a timely manner.

The Coats for the Kids have arrived.  However, the public schools are closed this week for Fall Break. So it's unlikely anyone would be at the schools for us to deliver the warm coats for cool kids. We are going to delay the sorting and delivery until next week October 23rd. We will do everything after the meeting.

This week we have another volunteer opportunity on Saturday, 19 to help out at Purpose Point Academy on Hwy 58 in the old Kmart. This is where Rotarian Ed Cunningham works and he has requested our help. We will be weed eating, pressure washing and spreading mulch. The time is 8am to 11am. Anyone who has a pressure washer, wheelbarrows, weed eaters, rakes or shovels, please bring them.  This will be a great opportunity to help one of our own.

This week our prayer and pledge will be done by Gale Williams and the Greeters are Joe V. Williams and Rick Wolf. Remember please, if you can't fulfil this duty to please find a substitute.

See you Wednesday. Proud to be a Rotarian!  If you are not able to join in person please join us by Zoom.
