Dear Rotarian,

Christmastime is here!  The calendar has rolled over to December, and it won't be long before the big guy in the red suit starts climbing down chimneys.

Before that happens, we have two meetings this month, and several opportunities for service.  This week our speaker will be Andy Stone of Priam Ventures, and he will discuss plans for the old foundry site where the new Lookouts Stadium is to be built.  The following week we will have a Christmas program, and the East Brainerd Kiwanis Club will also join us.

As for service opportunities, on Monday the 11th please plan on being at Silverdale Baptist Academy at 5:30 to help with snack set-up for the Bess T. Shepherd Winter program.  On Saturday December 16 plan on showing up at the National Cemetery at noon to help place wreaths on the gravesites.  Finally, on the week of the 18th we will need a couple of volunteers to help with the food boxes for Bethel Bible Village, but the final date and time for that event has not yet been announced.

Finally, a big thank you to Hank Powell for his work as our Rotary Foundation chair, and an even bigger thank you to all of you who helped our Club to be the second biggest contributor in the Purple Pinkie campaign.

Please plan to join us this week.  If you are not able to join in person please join us by Zoom.

Meeting ID: 830 3025 5424.  Passcode: 685 432

Thanks for being a Rotarian!

Volunteering to be part of our weekly rotation of being a Greeter or leading our club in Prayer and Pledge is a privilege and a responsibility.  If you have a Greeter or Prayer & Pledge assignment and are unable to serve, you are responsible for finding your replacement and notifying Chris Neighbors or President Stan Hildebrand of the change.  Thank you for your club service.
