Hello !,

Last week we had an excellent turnout for Isaac Duncan III’s presentation on sculpture. Glad to see so many of you showing up even though it is summer holiday time! The arts are such an important part being well rounded as individuals and they help make our quality of life exceptional! I liked his answer to the question about understanding his art, he mentioned it’s up to you to interpret what he has created means. Often the meaning of a piece will change to you depending on where you are viewing it, your mental state and your past experiences.

I am looking forward to hearing Linda Moss Mines presentation on the Scopes Trial this coming week. Maybe that is partly because I am a history nerd but mainly because I always learn something I didn’t know when Linda does a presentation.

Warren Graber our Community Services chair had a short committee meeting after the overall meeting last week. I encourage all committee chairs to schedule a short committee meeting in the next couple of weeks. Part of being the committee chair is not for you to do everything but engages other Rotarians to help and be involved. Remember the more involved you are the better our club can become. We are Rotarians which means people of ACTION!!!

Have a great week and Be Proud to Be A Rotarian!!  If you can't join us in person, please join us by Zoom at the link below:
