Dear Rotarian,

Hope you are having a great week and getting ready for Christmas!

I enjoyed our time at last week's meeting. I learned some new things about the Rotarians at my table (hint: don't ever play Spades against Tyler) and it brought back some great memories for me. I read recently that one of the challenges of our society navigating through the COVID pandemic has been the absence of connecting with others in person. Every week we have that opportunity at our Rotary meetings and I hope you are enjoying it as much as me.

This Wednesday we will have the Brainerd Kiwanis Club joining us at Metro Tab for our annual joint meeting. We did not get to do this last year due to COVID restrictions so I'm looking forward to catching up with them. We will hear from Austin Garrett who will talk with us about the Forgotten Child Fund that is coordinated by our local law enforcement officers.

Don't forget about our service opportunity this Friday for Bethel Bible Village. You can meet at Food City in Hixson at 9am to purchase food and/or go to Bethel Bible Village at 11am to pack boxes. Please contact Stan Hildebrand if you need more info.

I look forward to seeing you Wednesday at our meeting, but if you need to join by Zoom here is the meeting link. If you have difficulties in accessing the online meeting, please contact Dale Rardin at 423-605-6790 (cell) and he will assist you.
