Hello !,

What a great week it was with some cooler Fall weather!  I want to say a huge THANK YOU to the members who showed up Saturday to help with the Welcome Home of Chattanooga service project!  I can't wait to hear some stories of how things went.

We also had a nice visit this past week from Todd Morgan, the Executive Director of Preserve Chattanooga, an organization that has been helping our city since 1975.  He had such an informative presentation and I was amazed at his knowledge.  I'm sure it was fun for our history buff members!

This week will be fan-tastic (get it?) as we welcome Coach Dan Earl and Coach Deandra Schirmer, the Head Coaches of the UTC Mocs Basketball.  If you are a UTC fan, please feel free to show your support! This should be a really fun program since they kick off their season on November 2nd.

Next week we have the pleasure of honoring several members of our community at our First Responder's Day Appreciation which actually lands on October 28th, the National First Responder's Day!  Please try to be early on that Wednesday as we are expecting a full room.

Please remember to bring your grocery bags this week as we will be going to Abba's House on Thursday 10/22 from 10am to 12pm to make more mats for the homeless.  Also, I will have sign up sheets for our service project at JA Henry YMCA on November 3rd, also from 10am to 12pm.

I hope you all have a wonderful week and thank you for putting Service Above Self!  If you can't join us in person, please join us by Zoom at the link below:
