Hello !,

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

I hope you have all been staying warm as another cold spell hits us. Brr!

Last week's meeting featured guest speaker Melissa Blevins, CEO and President of the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.  Her statistics were mind boggling as to the number of people not having enough food. She explained all the different options available to people and no one will be turned away who needs food.  We will be having an off site meeting at the food bank in April . More information to follow.

This week we will be having our Kickoff for our Annual Golf Tournament which is May 21st. Todd Gaither and Tyler Spry will present some interesting information and options to  consider this year. Remember this is our big fund raiser for the year and all the money we make goes to fund all our projects during the year. Think Warm Coats for Cool Kids, Bethel Bible Village food boxes at Christmas, projects at Bess T. Shepherd and many more. You won't want to miss this meeting as it takes many people to make this a success and we need each and every one of you.

The following week, January 29, is our Law Enforcement Recognition Event. Our vocational committee, led by Joe V. Williams, will present the awards to the outstanding Sherriff's deputy and outstanding Chattanooga Police Officer selected by their leaders. We also donate money to the charity of the winner's choice which is also announced at this meeting.

Starting February 5th we will be meeting at our place. East Brainerd Church of Christ. The address is 7745 East Brainerd Rd. The entrance to the meeting room is around the back and there is a separate entrance and parking area. If  you were at the joint meeting with the Kiwanis Club, it is the same place. We will have signs posted at Metro Tab for those people who forget or are unaware and show up at our old spot.

We will also be having our January board meeting this Wednesday, the 22nd, so all chairmen please plan to be there.  I have information on how to help with the fires in Los Angeles if anyone is interested.
I hope to see you all this Wednesday!  Be proud to be a Rotarian. If you are not able to join in person please join us by Zoom.
