Hello $FIRST_NAME$!,

What a fabulous meeting we had last week honoring our veterans! A special thank you to Joe Vetzel for arranging Sgt. Major Michael T. Hall as our speaker. His message about true leadership and courage was inspiring. So refreshing to hear, real leaders don’t bully, intimidate or whine to get their way, they inspire those around them to accomplish goals, goals that impact everyone and lead to mutually good results for others. His message fits right in with our motto, “Service Above Self”, as true leaders see themselves as serving others.

It was nice to have so many guests last week and that is something we need to focus on since we want to grow our impact. One of the topics that was discussed at Rotary International is that 80-90% of Rotarians never invite a friend, neighbor, colleague or even a stranger to visit their club. I am sure practically everyone of you were initially invited by someone to visit. The statistics from Rotary are fascinating, 30-35% of individuals that join Rotary do so for the networking possibilities BUT after belonging for just over a year, 90% say they stay members because they enjoy the feeling of making a difference in their local community and the world.

I would like to challenge everyone one of our members to invite at least one person to join you for lunch and experience what Rotary is about, fellowship and serving others.  We look forward to seeing everyone this coming Wednesday. Have a great week and Be Proud to Be A Rotarian!!  If you can't join us in person, please join us by Zoom at the link below:
