Dear Rotarian,

Good Morning! I hope you've had a nice weekend. It was great to see our club recognized in the Sunday edition of The Chattanooga Times Free Press (page F3) for the success of our annual golf tournament. Thanks again to everyone who participated!

This week our club will be presenting the Chattanooga Kidney Foundation with a donation in honor of the late Phil Smartt. Phil's wife Gloria Smartt will be a guest at our meeting, I know many of you will want to say "hello".

Our speaker this week will be Rachel Good of Discovery Learners' Academy. Discovery Learners' Academy is a micro-school, which means at full capacity, PK-12, they will have a maximum of 140 students. Discovery Learners' Academy is designed to be a school with a unique culture that celebrates each learner for his/her specific talents, strengths, weaknesses, and quirks, and a place where failure is safe because it means you tried something new and hard, and because it is a tremendous opportunity for learning.

Rachel Good is also the granddaughter of Brice Holland, the first president of Chattanooga Hamilton Place Rotary Club.

Please plan to join us this week. If you are not able to join in person please join us by Zoom. Note - there is a new meeting link for the Zoom. Please use this link, meeting ID and passcode.
