Dear Rotarian,

Last week, Tyler and Jeff did an amazing job highlighting our golf website and our new fundraising strategy.  Please make every effort to reach out to your past golf sponsors - and new sponsors -  and team players and let's make our best effort to have another successful golf tournament fundraiser this year!  Our scholarship students depend on this as well as our Bess T. Shepherd elementary students and the various other service projects we provide across our community.  Please reach out to Tyler, Jeff or myself if you have questions or need assistance with an 'ask' to a sponsor.

The month of January is Vocational Services Month and Betsy and her committee have scheduled our Business Speed Dating for this week's program.  This is an excellent way to promote your business and learn more about each other.  I encourage everyone to participate - it is a fun event!

District Governor Ron's district-wide FaceBook meeting is scheduled for this Thursday, January 14 at 7:00 pm, and I will forward that information and a reminder on Thursday.

In compliance with Governor Lee's Executive Orders, RI and our District Governor recommendations, our club will not meet in person during January, February and likely not in March.  We continue to monitor closely to determine when it is safe to resume in-person meetings.  Your Rotary Club Board has voted to reduce member dues by $100, and this will be applied toward our 4th quarter invoices!!  Your board is always working for our club and members.  A reduction on the 4th quarter invoice is easier on our administrative team since 3rd quarter invoices have already been sent.  Thank you for your understanding!

Please keep Ken Robinson and his family in your thoughts and prayers as they all have Covid-19; my son-in-law, Ivan, is in intensive care in Louisville, KY due to complications from Covid-19 so please keep their family in your thoughts and prayers.  My grandchildren, Holden and Kyndal have attended several of our club meetings and this is their dad.  Please let me know if any of you have any needs.

The following is the Zoom meeting link for our club meeting.  If you have difficulties in accessing the online meeting, please contact Dale Rardin at 423-605-6790 (cell) and he will assist you.  Please note that a passcode is now required to access the zoom meeting for security purposes.

Volunteering to be part of our weekly rotation of being a Greeter or leading our club in Prayer and Pledge is a privilege and a responsibility.  If you have a Greeter or Prayer & Pledge assignment and are unable to serve, you are responsible for finding your replacement and notifying Chris Neighbors or President Beverlee Bartley of the change.  Thank you for your club service.
