Dear Rotarian,

It was certainly a beautiful weekend, but get ready, because as Glenn Frye sang, "The Heat is On", and it certainly will be this week.

I hope everyone enjoyed this past Wednesday as we celebrated "Mocs Day" with both a word from David Withey, one of our scholarship recipients, as well as a great report from Kim White on the latest happenings at UTC.  We are blessed to have such a vibrant university in our City.

This week we were supposed to have representatives from the Chattanooga Zoo, but unfortunately we just received word today that due to unforeseen circumstances our speaker will be unavailable. Stan Russel and I are now scrambling to put together a program for Wednesday, but please come on Wednesday and we will see what happens.

Finally, I do want to mention that Todd Gaither's group King's Cadence (which has performed at Rotary) will  be at Covenant Presbyterian Church this Sunday Night, August 27, at 6 p.m.

Please plan to join us this week.  If you are not able to join in person please join us by Zoom.

Meeting ID: 830 3025 5424.  Passcode: 685 432

Thanks for being a Rotarian!
