Dear Rotarians,

Last week we had a large crowd for our Valentine's Day celebration meeting and it was a huge hit! Thanks to Betsy and her committee for organizing the Not So Newlywed Game and to Scott Martin for being emcee "Wink Martindale". Congrats also to Gale Williams and her husband for winning the game and the dinner gift certificate!

This week our speakers are Joyce and Pete Vanderpool with The Creative Story Project. Their bio follows:

Creative Story Project is a non-profit corporation that has identified the importance and power of story as a tool to serve those with life challenges. The primary area of focus is with Alzheimer’s/dementia sufferers, but programs are available for those with learning challenges as well as counselors addressing 12-step programs and recidivism issues.

Pete and Joyce Vanderpool are long-time storytellers, members of the Cleveland Storytelling Guild, and the National Storytelling Network (NSN). Both have been successful entrepreneurs who now dedicate themselves to serving often under-served populations. Their Story Power evidence-based program has received recognition by and support from the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA). Both are proud members of Bradley Sunrise Rotary where Pete served as Charter President.

Hope to see you Wednesday!     Stan Russell
