Dear Rotarian,

 

Last Wednesday, we heard from Mr. Zach Monroe, Vice-President of Sales & Marketing at Card-Monroe Corporation.  Zach shared how his grandfather invented the tufting machine that is used to make carpet.  That has been transformed and improved upon over the years and today Card-Monroe provides about 80-90% of the tufting machines that are used worldwide, not only to make carpet, but also to make synthetic turf for athletic fields.  
 
Tomorrow, we are honored to host State Senator Todd Gardenhire.  Mr. Gardenhire is a Republican member of the Tennessee State Senate representing District 10 and has served in that role since January of 2013.  We are excited to hear from him in regards to some of the things that are going on in our great state.
