Dear Rotarian,

Hello from flyover country (Tulsa, Oklahoma). I'm sorry I missed last week's meeting, but we were able to make it out here in time for the birth of our granddaughter, Phoebe Lay. Thanks so much to Vice President Jim Henderson for stepping in at the last minute to run last week's meeting. I heard great things about the presentation from the students from Southern Adventist University.

This week we will have one of our annual special meetings, when we host members of the Chattanooga Police Department and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department on Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. I hope you will make plans to attend.

Looking ahead, we will have two more annual meetings in February, when we have our Valentine's Day special on Valentine's day (and be sure to invite your special someone), and our Influential Educator's Day on February 28. As a reminder, you will need to pay for your guest's meal on February 14. Also, for the next 5 weeks our regular caterer, Chef Barry, will be out on sick leave, so Kari and others are working hard to make sure we have meals for the next month.

Finally, congratulations to Brad Cansler, who was confirmed as our Club's President Nominee for the 2025-26 Club year. Brad, it will be here before you know it.
