President's Message

Dear Rotarian,

Let me start out today's message with three big notes of thanks:

First, thanks to Betsy Gibson for moderating last week's meeting in my absence.  I really appreciate her handling those duties.

Second, thanks to Mike Foos for coordinating our Club's involvement at the Bess T. Shepherd Fall Festival last week, as well as to Steve Germ, Hank Powell and Jeremy Ames for joining Mike at the School to hand out candy to the kids.

Finally, thanks to all of you Rotarians that purchased donuts or otherwise contributed funds to the Purple Pinkie donut drive to help eradicate Polio.  Your generosity is fantastic.

This week we will hear from Cara Hicks, the CEO of the MOMentum Network, whose purpose is to build a network of community partners & core volunteers to come alongside and support single moms in college.  If you are in town this week please make every effort to be at our Club meeting.

Looking ahead, we will celebrate our veterans on Wednesday November 8, and we will have our District Governor, Susie Cantrell, speak to our Club on Wednesday November 15, so I hope you will also be able to attend each of those special meetings.

Please plan to join us this week.  If you are not able to join in person please join us by Zoom.

Meeting ID: 830 3025 5424.  Passcode: 685 432

Thanks for being a Rotarian!

Volunteering to be part of our weekly rotation of being a Greeter or leading our club in Prayer and Pledge is a privilege and a responsibility.  If you have a Greeter or Prayer & Pledge assignment and are unable to serve, you are responsible for finding your replacement and notifying Chris Neighbors or President Stan Hildebrand of the change.  Thank you for your club service.
