Dear Rotarian,
Our club delivered 180 coats to local elementary schools over the past few days so THANK YOU to all who volunteered to sort, pack and deliver the coats.  Last week, our speaker, Tim Piersant with Chattanooga Whiskey outlined the historical timeline of the growth of his business and the legislative hurdles they overcame to make Chattanooga Whiskey one of the fastest growing whiskey companies in America.  This week, we will hear from Brian Smith who you may know as our local Channel 9 meteorologist.  What you may NOT know is that Brian is a polio survivor and one of only 2 polio survivors within his age group across the USA.  He will have an amazing story.

Folks like Brian are the reason we donate to Polio Plus to End Polio Now!  Please remember our Purple Pinkie Donut Campaign scheduled for October 20.  Our goal is to raise $1M to End Polio Now - $540,000 from our District #6780.  Pre-order deadline is October 16 and we have made it easy for everyone to pre-order.  Please see attached flyer.  Rotarians who participate by Pre Ordering in The Purple Pinkie Donut Campaign using any of the options described on the flyer will receive Paul Harris Fellow and Eradicator Club recognition for their contributions.

We are asking that all Rotarians please find a committee to join and serve our club.  This is a wonderful way to serve, become engaged, and contribute to our community which is what Rotary is all about - 'Service above Self'.

Volunteering to be part of our weekly rotation of being a Greeter or leading our club in Prayer and Pledge is a privilege and a responsibility.  If you have a Greeter or Prayer & Pledge assignment and are unable to serve, you are responsible for finding your replacement and notifying Chris Neighbors or President Beverlee Bartley of the change.  Thank you for your club service.
