Rotary Hamilton Place Bulletin - December 8th, 2021 (Dec 07, 2021)

Hope you have been enjoying our warm weather this weekend. Got to play golf yesterday wearing shorts in December! It was great.

What a great time we had last week with Linda Moss Mines who shared with us a little history about four women in Tennessee history we need to know. The title was actually "Five Women..." but she didn't have time to finish. I think I've figured out why I enjoying hearing her talk about history - it's because she never gets to finish the story and I want to hear more! Special thank you to Charles Dammann for arranging for Linda to come to speak to us twice.

After not getting to meet in person for nearly a year, I have really enjoyed the conversations over lunch with our club members. I especially enjoy getting to talk a little bit with those at my table to learn more about them and their families. This week we're going to think back to some old as well as more recent Christmas memories and share some of our great times with one another. Should be a great time to get to know one another better.

A few upcoming events I want to make sure are on your calendar:

Wednesday, Dec. 8: Golf Committee Meeting after our regular meeting. If you haven't found a committee on which to serve please plan to join the golf committee. This is our club's primary fund raiser for the year and provides the funds for all the service activities we do.

Friday, Dec. 17: Bethel Food Drive. Meet at Food City in Hixson at 9am to purchase food and then go to Bethel Bible Village at 11am to pack boxes.

Also - don't forget about our Membership Drive. One point for talking with someone about Rotary, Five points for bringing someone to a meeting and Twenty points for sponsoring a new member. I'll share the current scores on Wednesday.

I look forward to seeing you Wednesday at our meeting, but if you need to join by Zoom here is the meeting link. If you have difficulties in accessing the online meeting, please contact Dale Rardin at 423-605-6790 (cell) and he will assist you.
