Dear Rotarian,

Last week, we heard from Keith Clingan with ABRA Auto Body & Glass and from Katie and Sush regarding the COVID-19 epidemic and humanitarian crisis in India.  I love that Katie recognized a need and took action.  When there is a need, Rotary Reacts.  If you are interested in making a donation, please note the link below.

We are grateful to Keith Clingan and ABRA Auto Body & Glass for their long-time support of our Scholarship Golf Tournament. THIS WEEK IS OUR GOLF TOURNAMENT!  Please do not show up at Metro Tab as we are not having our weekly meeting.  Our Rotary Family always comes together at Bear Trace to volunteer and cheer on our golfers as we raise funds to support our scholarship students.  A few of our students will be there volunteering as well.  We look forward to seeing everyone and volunteering together on Wednesday.  Thanks to Tyler and Jeff for doing a wonderful job in coordinating this year's tournament.  If you have questions, please reach out to either of them.

Updates on Bobby Parker, Tom Snow, and Phil Smartt are good but they continue to recover so please reach out with an email, card or phone call.  Phil is in rehab at Lifecare in Ooltewah and said visitors are welcome.  It was SO good to see Marsha Yessick and Johnny Rogers at last week's meeting and they are founding members of our club.

Our club participated in our District #6780 golf tournament and we had 2 golfers drop out at the last minute and Jim Glass and Steve Ball stepped up and joined the team.  We deeply appreciate our golfers representing our club in the District Golf tournament.  As the District Newsletter stated "The Rotary Club of Cookeville wrestled the Governor's Cup from two-time defending champion Chattanooga Hamilton Place" so we are the team to beat.  A big THANK YOU to David Elliott, Stan Russell, Steve Ball and our President Elect, Jim Glass.

Thank you and hope to see everyone at Bear Trace on Wednesday!

Volunteering to be part of our weekly rotation of being a Greeter or leading our club in Prayer and Pledge is a privilege and a responsibility.  If you have a Greeter or Prayer & Pledge assignment and are unable to serve, you are responsible for finding your replacement and notifying Chris Neighbors or President Beverlee Bartley of the change.  Thank you for your club service.
