Dear Rotarian,

Our Veteran's Day event was amazing as we honored our veterans with the American Legion Honor Guard and Retired Colonel Mark Cuttle, US Army.  How thankful we are for our Military and Veterans' service!

November is Foundation Month and this week our program's focus is the Rotary International Foundation with Debbie Alexander Davis joining us via Zoom.  The RI Foundation is consistently rated within the top 10 on Charity Navigator so we can be confident in the fact our donations are being utilized to the penny as our gifts are transformed into service projects that change lives both close to home and around the world.

Please remember we must register in advance to obtain the link (I previously sent registration link and will be glad to resend as needed) to join the November 19 Downtown Club's program with Governor Bill Lee.  SERVICE Opportunity:  Please remember to bring your pantry items on Wednesday to donate to the Community Kitchen Food Drive scheduled for November 19.  Several of us are serving early Thursday morning at AT&T field.

Going forward, we are re-implementing our $5 meals to go fee so if you take a leftover meal home, please pay Gale before you leave.  $5 is a bargain for our take home meals and helps support our club.

Our club is hosting a club-wide virtual social during our meeting time on December 2; our joint meeting with East Brainerd Kiwanis is scheduled for December 4 (Kiwanis is hosting this year) and they have requested we join their meeting via Zoom.

Robert (Bob) Hacker, former club member, passed away on November 12.  He and his wife Judy (who is also a former club member) owned Chattanooga Florist for many years and were dedicated to serving our city in numerous ways.

The following is the Zoom meeting link for our club meeting. If you have difficulties in accessing the online meeting, please contact Dale Rardin at 423-605-6790 (cell) and he will assist you.  Please note that a passcode is now required to access the zoom meeting for security purposes.

Volunteering to be part of our weekly rotation of being a Greeter or leading our club in Prayer and Pledge is a privilege and a responsibility.  If you have a Greeter or Prayer & Pledge assignment and are unable to serve, you are responsible for finding your replacement and notifying Chris Neighbors or President Beverlee Bartley of the change.  Thank you for your club service.
