Dear Rotarian,

For those of you who live and work in the East Brainerd area, you probably did not think Icemageddon 2024 was much of an event.  For those of us north of the river, we're still hoping to see our driveway again one day.  I hope no one was inconvenienced with last week's meeting being cancelled, but after consulting with Steve Ball it just seemed like the right thing to do from a safety standpoint.

I hope everyone can be at this week's meeting.  We will be hearing from our nomination committee on the President Nominee for the 2025-26 Rotary year.  I also hope to have an exciting announcement regarding our golf tournament.  Finally, Michelle Doucoumes, an Associate Professor at Southern Adventist University, along with 4 SAU students, will speak about their Enactus program, which brings together student, academic and business leaders who are committed to the power of entrepreneurial action to improve the lives of people in need.

Following our regular meeting we will have a Board Meeting, so all Board members should plan on being available for that.  Looking ahead to January 31, we will give our support to the thin Blue Line, and celebrate our local police and sheriff departments.

Please plan to join us this week.  If you are not able to join in person please join us by Zoom.

Meeting ID: 830 3025 5424.  Passcode: 685 432

Thanks for being a Rotarian!

Volunteering to be part of our weekly rotation of being a Greeter or leading our club in Prayer and Pledge is a privilege and a responsibility.  If you have a Greeter or Prayer & Pledge assignment and are unable to serve, you are responsible for finding your replacement and notifying Chris Neighbors or President Stan Hildebrand of the change.  Thank you for your club service.
