Dear Rotarian,

I hope you all enjoyed hearing about the plans for the new Lookouts Stadium at the Foundry last week.  Andy Stone did a great job of relaying the vision that he and the other developers of that project have for the Southside.  It got me ready for some baseball.

This week we will be celebrating Christmas, and Willie Kitchens will be providing special music for us.  I have not had the chance to hear Mr. Kitchens perform like many of you have, but I understand we are all in for a treat.  The East Brainerd Kiwanians will also be attending, and each organization will be presenting a donation to Sheriff Austin Garrett for the Forgotten Child Fund.

I know there has been some confusion about wreaths at the National Cemetery, and I learned over the weekend that there are actually two separate groups involved in placing wreaths on the grave.  Wreaths Across Chattanooga is hosting its event this Saturday, with activities beginning at 9 a.m.  There is no designated parking.  If you have a Grave Specific Wreath, you are not supposed to lay that until 1:00 p.m.   It is my understanding there will be a short ceremony at 12:00 noon.

Also, there will be a Board Meeting following our regular meeting, so all Board Members please make every effort to attend.

Please plan to join us this week.  If you are not able to join in person please join us by Zoom.

Meeting ID: 830 3025 5424.  Passcode: 685 432

Thanks for being a Rotarian!
