Dear Rotarian,

I hope that your week is off to a good start! Last week we heard from students at the Chattanooga High School Center for Creative Arts. They sang several songs for us, and they were very talented! We also finished the work at Bess T. Shepherd on Wednesday afternoon!

Tomorrow we will be hearing from Mr. Bob Lubell. Bob is the founder and president of Partners for Christian Media and J103 radio. In 1994, Bob quit his dream job to establish J103 in Chattanooga, where another similar station had failed in the same city.

With no personal resources, no paycheck, and no relationship with the area’s major donors. Bob raised $50,000 in three weeks for the down payment on the original purchase agreement for the FM broadcast license for 102.7 FM—and later raised $800,000 in five days to secure a second signal, 103.1 FM. Twenty-one years later, J103 has annual revenues of $2.4 million.

Bob is an excellent speaker, so you will definitely want to be there to hear him. Have a great night, and I'll see you tomorrow!
