I really hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather we have been having, I know it's supposed to be Spring, but my goodness, Summer is taking an early crack at it!

It was such a treat this past meeting to have Ryan Keel, EPB's President of Energy and Communications come speak to us!  Ryan was incredibly informative, well spoken, and energetic! (Pun intended!)  He brought a lot of facts to the club about EBP that I was not aware of, including EPB employees over 700 people, offers free energy saving evaluations for your home, and is one of the largest of the Big 8 energy distributors.  Hats off to Jim Glass for such a great guest speaker.

This week we will be fortunate to hear from Kumar Yelamarthi who is the Dean of UTC College of Engineering & Computer Science.  I look forward to learning about what this incredible department at UTC is working on, what advancements have been made and how they effect our future.

I want to say a big thank you to Jim Glass once again and David Elliott for helping to put together a Rotary - Hamilton Place table at the EPB Business Connect Summit at The Chattanoogan Hotel on Thursday.  And thanks go out to Barry Jeffries and Kelly Szemborski for helping out.  We met several people interested in what we do and will hopefully see some visitors.  Keep it up Membership Committee!

Also, I want to thank Roseanne Apyan for hosting the Top Golf event on this past Thursday as well.  The pictures I've seen show that those who attended had a marvelous time!  I hope we get more social events going since that was one of the take-aways from our business speed dating last week!
