What a week we have had starting with Hurricane Helene! It doesn't get much bigger than that and I will touch on the district responses to provide supplies, money a little later.

We had Adam Myer from the Chamber of Commerce come and speak to us last week. He presented a lot of interesting information regarding the growth of Chattanooga, both commercial and residential.

This week State Senator Bo Watson will be our guest speaker. He has an interesting background as to what he used to do before he became a state senator. I'm sure he will update us on what is happening in Nashville and maybe what the state is doing to help the hurricane victims in Tennessee.

I hope you all had a chance to read my letter regarding what our district is doing for the hurricane victims and what is being set up. Hopefully, I will have more information at the meeting this Wednesday on how we can help with the rescue efforts.

Purple Pinkie Donut day is October 23rd so I hope all of you got your orders placed. Depending on when you get this there is a volunteer opportunity at the Ronald McDonald House on Monday the 7th. We will be cooking breakfast for the families. We start at 7:30 and are done by 9am as everyone so far has this down to a science. Hope to see you there.  If you are not able to join in person please join us by Zoom.
