I am sure we all enjoyed the cooler temps last week, it makes walking in the morning very pleasant. Dale Rardin and I often pass each other on our walk and we commented it almost felt like early fall. Summer is passing so quickly which was evident when I saw kids waiting for the bus in the neighborhood! Long gone are the days where we started school after Labor Day.

If you are like me, I enjoy presentations that educate us about what is going on locally and found the information that our speakers Ray Boaz & Tripp Mullins shared interesting. I am not a sports person but think the creation of a multi-use space with all the surrounding attractions will be a great addition to our community. As someone who owns a historic office, I was glad to hear how they are incorporating the old foundry buildings into the park.

Those of you who have not selected a committee to serve on will soon be getting assignments! We want everyone to be involved so that our club can grow and thrive. The Rotary theme for this year is Unite For Good and together we can accomplish great things.

Many of you filled out a questionnaire about how we can improve our club. This coming week I would ask that those of you who didn’t already share your thoughts, to do so. On August the 20^th we have a board meeting and we want everyone that wants to have input to share their opinions and ideas so the board can discuss them.

August is Membership Month and as David Elliott mentioned each week we will have a membership moment to highlight.  Have a great week and Be Proud to Be A Rotarian!!  If you can't join us in person, please join us by Zoom at the link below:
