Hello !,

Here we are at the end of the month of January already!!! Time flies. Last week we kicked off our annual Golf Tournament with Todd Gaither and Tyler Spry. May 21st will be here before you know it so start getting your hole sponsors, golf teams and large donors together. This year Todd and Tyler have decided to try something new  in addition to the regular raffle prizes. There will be 4 large Raffle items to be selected at the end of the tournament. This will be separate from the other raffle prizes and the winners will not be selected ahead of time. You will have to be present to win it as well. These prizes will probably be valued at 400-500. each. Think large Yeti cooler, specific golf clubs or packages. The raffle tickets will cost the same $5. each unless you buy multiples. I'm sure Beverlee Bartley, our ticket seller extraordinaire, will be on hand to persuade you to spend 100. on raffle tickets. That's 25 tickets! She is very convincing so I would suggest you plan ahead. She will accept any amount that you are comfortable spending. The committee has set a new fund raising goal of 50,000. net for our budget next year. We can do this!!!

We are looking for 32 golf teams, (128 golfers), 70 hole sponsors and 4 other major donors. See the golf website for additional information.

This week is our Law Enforcement Recognition meeting. We will be honoring the outstanding Chattanooga Police officer and outstanding Sheriff's Deputy selected by their leaders. We also make a donation to their favorite charity. It is a great chance to honor our men and women in blue and you won't want to miss it.  Joe V. Williams and the vocational committee are responsible for this event.

This Wednesday is the last day we are collecting books to donate to the McKay's bookstore for vouchers for the Learning Point Academy to obtain new books for their school. Our new member Warren Graber is in charge of this for the community service committee.

Upcoming meetings include speaker, Marty Haynes, Hamilton County Tax Assessor on February 5 and our Valentine's Day Program, the Magic of Love, with Ken Hartley on February 12. We have many fantastic events coming up so you won't want to miss any of our meetings.

I hope to see you all this Wednesday!  Be proud to be a Rotarian. If you are not able to join in person please join us by Zoom.
